Pieces of discarded wood, water containers and even supermarket trolleys litter this patch of forest at Brickland Road. STOMPer Indiana Jones says this is the work of foreign workers, who have their picnics here on off days.
Here's what the concerned STOMPer wrote in an email today (Oct 4):
"These pictures were taken at a forested area beside an old army camp at Brickland Road.
"While trekking through the forest one day I was surprised to see a jungle clearing that had been used as a picnic ground by foreign workers.
"After their weekly picnics they left behind supermarket trolleys, chairs and wooden boards in the forest.
"Also found discarded were a pail, a water container, a canvas sheet, candles and pieces of plywood.
"This causes pollution to our forest and the destruction of the habitat poses a threat to our flora and fauna."
