Oil slicks line East Coast beach, stinking and polluting the area

STOMPer david noticed the horrendous stench and environmental pollution from the oil slicks that had accumulated along East Coast beach as a result of Tuesday's oil spill.

He said:

"The whole beach is dirty and smelly.

"The environmental personnels are here, but they seem to be taking photos

"I think we need to clean up this beach. This image is bad for Singapore."

STOMPer Rustom, who lives in the East, also noticed the oil slicks and hopes that something can be done about the problem soon.

He says:

"This photo was shot at Bayshore, near my condominium.

"Even though oil spill occurred outside the Singapore border, I hope the government can bring the culprits to justice.

"It is such a pathetic sight".
