STOMPer Cyril caught sight of this monkey at Sungei Api Api in the east, and was shocked by its fierce behaviour.
He says:
"I was curious to see a monkey standing on the bridge while I was out exercising this afternoon.
"The monkey was very fierce.
"I saw an aunty giving an apple to the monkey when I wanted to take a photo of the monkey.
"The monkey gave me a 'vampire face' and then I ran away.
"So when the monkey was not looking I quickly zoomed my camera and took three photos of the monkey."

I'm not sure what the person meant by a 'vampire face'. Is he saying that the long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) bared its canines at him?

I have a strong suspicion that this is the same monkey spotted at Elias Mall a few days ago; there is no resident troop of macaques anywhere in the Pasir Ris area, and besides, Elias Mall is just a few minutes away from Sungei Api Api.
