Fallen tree at Queensway carpark buries one car, totals another

Fallen tree at Queensway carpark buries one car, totals another
STOMPer Missymousey saw this huge fallen tree damaging two cars at the Queensway carpark near McDonald's and Rideout Tea Garden. One car was hit by its trunk and wrecked, while the other was completely buried under its leaves.

The STOMPer says:

"Saw this fallen huge tree at McDonald's Rideout Queensway carpark around 5p.m today (Mar 21), right after the rain cleared up.

"The tree actually fell on two cars, it was that huge!

"Police had already arrived when I saw this incident, and the area was barricaded.

"One of the car owners was talking to the police and she seemed slightly distressed.

"Her car was buried under the leaves, you can just about see one wheel sticking out in one of the pictures. I don't think her car was as badly damaged as the other, as it wasn't struck by the collapsed tree trunk.

"We frequent this place often, so I think we were really fortunate that we didn't park anywhere near the fallen tree on this occasion."
