A STOMPer feels that this drain, damaged by tree roots, should be repaired soon or located further away from the tree.
In an email to STOMP today (Mar 9), the STOMPer says:
"This picture was taken at the walkway between Blk 288C Bukit Batok Street 25 and the Church of St. Mary of the Angels.
"The giant tree has spreading roots and the roots are so powerful that the nearby drain has been squeezed till broken.
"Now, dried leaves have collected in the broken drain and no rain water can flow through on rainy days.
"We hope LTA will repair the drain or better still, site it slightly further away to prevent future damage."
